Group benefits and retirement consultant in Squamish, BC. Outdoors enthusiast. Husband and proud father of 2 young boys.
3. What is your favourite part of your role?
Getting connected with and speaking to a new and diverse range of individuals daily.
4. What motivated you to join the Smart Health Benefits Association?
I am a firm believer in advocacy. SHBA is leading the charge for effective advocacy on behalf of group consultants, independent of insurance companies.
5. What advocacy or policy issue impacting plan sponsors or plan members matters most to you right now?
Improving access and education regarding group retirement plans and long-term disability insurance.
6. From your perspective, why is it important that plan sponsors and plan members have a direct voice in policy and industry discussions?
Our clients are the business owners driving our economy, and we connect with them directly. We know the challenges they are facing and understand what solutions can help them succeed. We can be a voice that helps influence legislation to improve our economy.
7. How do you define success?
Being proud and excited about what you do day-to-day.
8. Tell us how you manage work/life balance.
Getting outdoors and being active, you will naturally detach from work and avoid looking at emails on your phone.
